Who you are dealing with

When you reserve a car on car-wave.getmotors.co.uk your agreement is with Car Wave, Unit-1, Royal Tiger, Southend Rd, Rettendon Common, Chelmsford CM3 8EE. GetMotors runs the website and the payment page for Car Wave and is not a party to the sale.

What the deposit does

•You pay a deposit of £99 by card. Payments are taken by Stripe; Car Wave never sees your card details.

•The car is taken off sale for 72 hours from when your payment goes through, so nobody else can buy it during that time.

•If you go ahead and buy the car, the deposit comes off the price.

•Reserving does not commit you to buying the car.

Refunds

•If you decide not to go ahead, contact Car Wave at info@car-wave.co.uk or on 07368403530 and the deposit will be refunded to the card you paid with. [Whether this applies unconditionally, and for how long after the hold ends, is to be confirmed by Car Wave.]

•If the hold runs out, or Car Wave releases the hold or sells the car to someone else, the deposit is refunded in full to the card you paid with.

•Refunds usually reach your account within 5 to 10 working days of being issued.
